Washington, D.C. Associates Named to 2008 30 Under 30 List
WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 22, 2008) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that two of its Washington, D.C. associates, Jeffrey Mikoni and Timothy Shuman, have been named to Legal Bisnow's 30 Under 30 list. Legal Bisnow selected attorneys for the list based on significant work or accomplishments they achieved that made them stand out among their colleagues.

As a member of the Firm's Trial Department, Mr. Mikoni concentrates his practice on complex trial and appellate litigation, with an emphasis on federal jurisdictional and constitutional issues. He supports McDermott trial teams by developing appellate strategies, drafting petitions for writ of certiorari and merit briefs, and assisting with oral argument preparations.
Mr. Shuman is a member of the Firm's Tax Department. He focuses his practice on corporate and international tax matters for U.S. and foreign multinationals, with particular emphasis on acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings, including reorganizations and spin-offs. He also has experience with transactions involving corporations with special tax status, such as regulated investment companies and insurance companies.
