McDermott Represents Metalmark Capital in the Sale of The Underwriter Group Limited
LONDON (4 March 2009) — McDermott Will & Emery represented Metalmark Capital in connection with the sale of a controlling equity interest in The Underwriter Group Limited to the management of TUG. The sale marks the completion of a multi-step disposition by Metalmark of The Underwriter Insurance Company Limited, an English insurance company, and its affiliates.
McDermott's London team included corporate partners Nicholas Azis and Prajakt Samant; corporate associates Rosa Sanchez and Adam Topping and tax associate James Ross. McDermott's New York team included tax associate John Engel.
