McDermott Ranks As Patent Prosecution Leader
CHICAGO (March 18, 2009) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that the Firm has once again been ranked as one of the most active patent prosecution firms in Intellectual Property Today's annual Top Patent Firms survey (March 2009 issue). Firms are ranked according to the number of utility patents issued in 2008 where the firm or individual is listed as the legal representative on the face of the registration. With a total of 1,448 patents issued in 2008, including 1,392 utility patents, McDermott placed 11th among 360 firms surveyed, and second among general practice firms.
