New IP Partner Joins Rome Office to Lead Italian IP Practice

ROME (13 September 2007) — McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato is pleased to announce the appointment of Francesco Mattina, who joins the Firm on 1 October 2007, as a partner in the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department.  Francesco will lead the Firm's intellectual property practice in Italy, advising both Italian and international companies in the defence and protection of intellectual property rights.

Francesco represents many multinational clients in various industries, on a wide range of legal issues relating to intellectual property rights, before the Specialised Sections on Intellectual Property Rights.  One of Francesco’s most recent exploits was to assist a famous designer in the protection of his industrial design creations, obtaining a cross-border interim measure from the Specialised Section on IP rights of the Florence Tribunal.
