Department of Justice Antitrust Attorney Returns to McDermott
WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 18, 2012) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery today announced that it has named Warren Rosborough as a partner in its global Antitrust & Compliance Practice Group, based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Rosborough joins the Firm from the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice where he was a trial attorney specializing in all aspects of civil antitrust, including mergers and government investigations. Earlier in his career, Rosborough was an antitrust associate in McDermott’s Washington, D.C. office from June 2004 – December 2007.
“We are delighted that Warren has decided to rejoin us,” said Joseph Winterscheid, partner and head of McDermott’s global Antitrust and Competition Practice Group. “Not only is he a very strong antitrust lawyer, he adds recent Antitrust Division experience in a wide range of industries that are of key interest to many of our clients, including the defense and aerospace, media, oil services equipment and high tech industries. In sum, he brings valuable experience and insights that will help solidify McDermott’s position among the nation’s top antitrust firms.”
“It is a real pleasure to return to the Firm at this stage in my career,” said Rosborough. “McDermott has some of the best antitrust lawyers in Washington and around the world, giving it unique capabilities to address the full range of antitrust matters, both domestically and internationally. It is a real honor to rejoin this distinguished team.”
Rosborough earned his J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center where he served as managing editor of Law and Policy in International Business (now the Georgetown Journal of International Law). He also received a Master’s in Public Policy degree from Georgetown and earned the Herbert Roback Scholarship awarded by the National Academy of Public Administration.
He is a member of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
