McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato Appoints Stefano Mechelli to Establish New Trial Practice in Italy
ROME (1 September 2009) — International law firm McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato is pleased to announce the expansion of the Firm’s successful Trial Department into Italy with the appointment of Stefano Mechelli as partner in the Rome office. Stefano’s practice will be predominantly international, as he will focus on advising international clients in legal proceedings pending in Italy and Italian clients involved in US and other European trial proceedings. He will work closely with the Firm’s well-established Trial and International Dispute Avoidance and Resolution teams across Europe and the United States.
Stefano is well-regarded in Rome as a trial lawyer and will draw upon his experience from boutique firm Studio Legale Libonati where he practiced for over a decade advising Italian and international clients on arbitration and civil court proceedings in Italy as well as abroad. He is admitted to the Bar in Rome and New York, as well as in Hamburg (Germany) and in Valencia (Spain).
