Three Partners Named Client Service All-Stars

CHICAGO (December 22, 2004) — McDermott Will & Emery partners Robert Bouma, Michael Peregrine and David Rogers were named to the 2005 BTI Client Service All-Star Team, a report released by BTI Consulting.  BTI interviewed more than 185 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 companies on a broad range of issues, including client satisfaction and service.  The report, based on 200 open-ended, unprompted interviews, identified Messrs. Bouma, Peregrine and Rogers among approximately 100 lawyers nationwide who deliver outstanding client service.  In November, McDermott ranked tenth in The BTI's Survey of Client Service Performance for Law Firms: The BTI Client Service A-Team.

"Client service is the cornerstone of our practice," commented Harvey W. Freishtat, McDermott’s Chairman.  "This recognition illustrates the commitment to quality service our lawyers maintain and we would like to thank our clients for this acknowledgement."

Mr. Bouma, head of McDermott's Trial Department, practices primarily in the areas of business litigation and general corporate law.  Before joining the Firm, Mr. Bouma was general counsel of Household International, associate general counsel of Monsanto Co., senior group counsel at Xerox Corporation, and general counsel of Xerox Data Systems.

Mr. Peregrine, a member of the Firm's Health Department, concentrates his practice on the representation of nonprofit health care facilities and systems and other charitable organizations, with particular focus on the corporate, fiduciary duty, tax and charitable trust issues facing such organizations.

Mr. Rogers, also named to BTI's 2001 and 2002 All-Star Teams, concentrates his practice on employee benefits matters, including the adoption and qualification of pension and profit sharing plans, executive compensation matters including employment agreements, deferred compensation and equity based compensation programs, health and welfare plans, and the provision of such benefits in bankruptcy.

BTI Consulting, based in Boston, advises managing partners, CEOs, chairmen and other senior executives on issues related to revenue acquisition, client development and business development.
