McDermott Represents Ryder System, Inc. in Asset Acquisition
CHICAGO (February 19, 2009) — McDermott Will & Emery represented Ryder System, Inc (NYSE:R) in the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of the full service truck leasing, commercial truck rental and contract maintenance businesses of Edart Leasing Company, LLC, a Northeast U.S. regional transportation services company based in Hartford, CT.
Ryder System, Inc. is a recognized leader in transportation and supply chain management solutions. The acquisition was finalized on February 2, 2009 for an undisclosed amount.
The McDermott team included partners Ira Coleman, Jacqueline Hodes, Gregg Fierman, Daphne Trotter, Jonathan Boyles and Dana Gordon.
