McDermott Advises on $1.4 Billion Acquisition
NEW YORK - McDermott Will & Emery is serving as United States M&A counsel to Constellation Brands, Inc. in its acquisition of Australia's BRL Hardy Limited. The transaction, valued at $1.4 billion, will create the world's largest winemaker.
Led by Bernard Kramer of the Chicago office, McDermott Will & Emery's cross-office legal team included partner David Cifrino of the Firm's Boston office. Tax partners Daniel Zucker and Jeffrey Wagner of the Chicago office, and antitrust partner Scott Megregian of the London office have also advised Constellation Brands.
Constellation Brands is a leading producer and marketer of branded beverage alcohol products in North America and the United Kingdom with a portfolio of wines, spirits and imported beers. BRL Hardy is Australia's largest wine producer.
