Partner Named to "Lawdragon 500 New Stars"

CHICAGO (June 14, 2006) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that partner Jason Levine has been named by Lawdragon Magazine on its inaugural list of the Lawdragon 500 New Stars.  This list identifies both up-and-coming talent as well as lawyers who have created fascinating new practices.

Mr. Levine, a trial partner in McDermott's Washington, D.C. office, has more than a decade of experience representing high-profile clients in their most important cases.  His practice is focused on complex business litigation and matters involving the First Amendment, including federal election law and defamation.  A hands-on litigator, his experience runs the gamut from first-chairing trials, to arguing federal appeals, to managing the defense of class actions and multi-district proceedings.  Mr. Levine received his B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Brandeis University.  He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.

According to Lawdragon.com, its Lawdragon rankings include fewer than .01 percent of all lawyers in the United States.  The rankings are determined through extensive research conducted by the Lawdragon editorial staff.  Through phone interviews, the staff speaks with thousands of legal professionals to solicit their opinions on the best lawyers.  This research is then combined with votes collected through Lawdragon's online ballots to produce the various Lawdragon 500 features, including the "Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America," "Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators," and the "Lawdragon 500 New Stars."  For more information visit www.lawdragon.com.
