BTI Consulting Group Names Two McDermott Partners as “BTI Client Service All-Stars”

CHICAGO (January 29, 2010) — McDermott Will & Emery LLP is pleased to announce that The BTI Consulting Group has named White-Collar & Securities Defense Practice Group Leader Michael Kendall an “All-Star MVP” in the 2010 edition of its annual report, The BTI Client Service All-Stars.  Also named an All-Star in this year’s report is health care partner Ira J. Rappeport.  Both lawyers were nominated to the list by health care clients in recognition of their legal acumen and results-oriented service.

In addition to earning the rank of All-Star, Mr. Kendall received the coveted MVP designation as a result of being nominated to the All-Star list for the second year running.  He joins a select group of only 22 lawyers nationwide in this year’s report who have been listed for two or more years in a row.  In praising Mr. Kendall, BTI and the nominating clients note his “’wonderful results’ with high value for the dollar.”  In particular, one general counsel said of Mr. Kendall, “Dependability and no unexpected changes make his service so valuable to our company.”

Further attesting to the Firm’s focus on client service, McDermott is one of only 36 law firms (out of 112 included in the 2010 report) with more than one nominee.  Mr. Kendall and Mr. Rappeport also join a select group of McDermott attorneys who have been named All-Stars in recent years, including Robert E. Bouma, Michael R. Fayhee, Brooks B. Gruemmer, Michael W. Peregrine, Michael A. Pope, David E. Rogers and David R. Ryder.

"McDermott continues to emphasize excellence in pursuit of client objectives," commented both Peter John Sacripanti and Jeffrey E. Stone, McDermott Co-Chairs.  "We congratulate Mike and Ira on their nominations to The BTI Client Service All-Stars and take this most recent honor as inspiration to further strengthen our client relationships Firm wide."
