Boston Office Adds Securities Counsel to Corporate Practice

BOSTON (January 24, 2005) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Anne (Polly) G. Plimpton will join the Firm's Corporate Department resident in the Boston office as counsel on January 31, 2005.  Ms. Plimpton has more than 25 years of experience advising public companies, venture capitalists and other investors and investment banks.  She concentrates her practice on insider trading and reporting under Section 16, executive compensation and other proxy disclosure, resales of restricted securities, regulation of underwriters, state securities regulation, corporate governance and shareholder matters.

Ms. Plimpton is currently chair of the Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and Section 16 Subcommittee of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association.  She was previously counsel at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP.

Ms. Plimpton earned her B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University, her M.A. from the University of Massachusetts and her J.D. from University of Georgia School of Law.
