M&A Partner John S. Herbert Joins McDermott Will & Emery LLP
NEW YORK (June 4, 2007) — McDermott Will & Emery LLP announced today that John S. Herbert, 58, has been elected a Partner. He will be a senior member of McDermott’s M&A and Private Equity practices in New York.
Mr. Herbert has more than 20 years experience representing U.S. and international financial buyers in the private equity, leveraged buyout and venture capital areas and a wide variety of other clients in complex M&A transactions.
“John’s experience and client base in the M&A and private equity businesses complement one of McDermott’s most rapidly growing areas of practice,” said Tim Alvino, head of the Firm’s Corporate Department. “He is a perfect addition to our strong M&A and Private Equity teams in the United States and international markets.”

Mr. Herbert received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 1978 from George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 1976 and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970.
