New Trial Partner to Lead New York SEC Defense Group
NEW YORK (February 12, 2007) — The New York office of McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to welcome Andrew D. Kaizer as a member of the Firm's Trial Department and Head of the SEC Defense Group in the New York office.
Mr. Kaizer focuses on litigation and securities and commodities enforcement; white-collar criminal defense; investigations by federal, state and private-sector regulators in the United States and abroad; internal investigations and complex commercial civil litigation; including class action and RICO matters. He has provided counseling and trial representation in criminal and regulatory matters to individuals and organizations across the financial services sector, including private, investment, and commercial banks; investment companies; broker-dealers and Big Four accounting firms.

Among his more than 20 years of practice, Mr. Kaizer has advised clients during investigations of mutual fund market timing, alleged insider trading, market manipulation, securities fraud, ERISA fraud, bank embezzlement, public corruption, auditor independence, accounting practices and IPO practices, as well as antitrust investigations. He has also handled substantial commercial disputes, including computer crimes and theft of trade secrets, and complex real estate financings.
Mr. Kaizer is a frequent speaker on securities issues before the ABCNY and other organizations. He is a member of the editorial board for Complinet, Inc. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston University.
