Leading Firm in M&A Transactions
McDermott Will & Emery ranked in the top 20 of The American Lawyer’s 2004 “Corporate Scorecard” survey for the number of M&A deals on which the Firm advised in 2003. According to the survey, McDermott served as counsel to the principals in 14 deals, with an aggregate value of $11.5 billion. The Firm was also ranked in the top 10 by the number of completed U.S. M&A transactions in 2003, according to Global Securities Information.
The American Lawyer's annual Corporate Scorecard ranks law firms within a variety of corporate subspecialties. The data used to compile the Corporate Scorecard comes from top financial information suppliers, such as BankruptcyData.com, Corporate Control Alert, Dealogic, Lipper/Reuters, and Thomson Financial. The results reflect data from 2003 transactions, current in each of their databases as of Jan. 30, 2004.
