McDermott Ranks Among Top 20 Legal Advisers for M&A Deal Volume
CHICAGO (November 6, 2006) — McDermott Will & Emery ranked 17th in the third quarter M&A legal advisory league tables published by Mergermarket. This legal advisers ranking is based on aggregated deal volume of announced transactions in North American from January 1, 2006 to September 30, 2006.
Additionally, McDermott is ranked in the top 20 by Bloomberg for its October M&A legal advisory league tables. This ranking is based on aggregated deal volume for global deals announced in October. For U.S. announced deals in October, McDermott is ranked 11th in Bloomberg's tables.
Among the deals announced, McDermott represented a special committee of the board of directors of Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Holdings in its recently announced merger with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Holdings Inc.
