Partner Named Among the Top 100 Estate Planning Attorneys

CHICAGO (December 5, 2006) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Domingo P. Such, III, a partner in the Firm's Private Client Department, was recognized by Robb Robert Worth magazine as one of the top 100 estate planning attorneys in the United States.  Worth published its second annual feature of the Top 100 Attorneys in its December 2006 issue.  The attorneys were identified through a nomination process in which the publication contacted financial advisors, family office executives, accountants, consultants, academics and others for recommendations on top estate planning attorneys.

Mr. Such concentrates in financial, estate and tax planning matters for family-owned and/or privately-held businesses and family members.  His experience includes transfer tax, income tax, business planning, executive compensation planning for private and public companies, charitable and probate administration.  He has worked on corporate transactions for publicly owned clients as well as closely-held emerging enterprises.  He has also represented taxpayers on contested tax matters through administrative appeals and litigation in the U.S. Tax Court.

Mr. Such, who is resident in the Firm's Chicago office, earned his J.D., cum laude, Loyola University Chicago School of Law; and his MBA and B.A., cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis.  He is on the faculty for the Family Firm Institute and lectures at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and Graduate School of Business.  He is currently the chair and a former legislative liaison for the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) Trust Law Committee, a past chairman of the CBA Probate Practice Committee and a member of the American Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association and the Chicago Estate Planning Council.
