Nancy Ross Elected to the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bar Foundation
CHICAGO (May 17, 2010) — McDermott Will & Emery partner, Nancy Ross, has been elected to join the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF). The CBF mobilizes the Chicago legal community to use their resources and influence to provide low-income and disadvantaged Chicagoans with access to legal aid. Through grants, advocacy, pro bono and partnerships, the CBF takes a system-wide approach to improving access to justice.

I am committed to giving back to our community and I look forward to working with the CBF in this new role,” commented Ms. Ross.
Ms. Ross focuses her practice primarily on the area of employee benefits class action litigation and counseling under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). In addition to her experience counseling and representing clients, Ms. Ross is highly involved in the Firm’s pro bono and community service initiatives. For example, Ms. Ross is chair of the Firm’s United Way Law Partnership Campaign. This month, as a result of the Firm’s participation and outstanding accomplishments during the 2009 United Way campaign season, the Firm was selected as the sole winner of the United Way 2009 Campaign Great Beginnings Award.
