McDermott Named Law Firm of the Year for Media
MUNICH (4 November 2005) — McDermott Will & Emery's German practice won the prestigious JUVE award for Law Firm of the Year for Media. McDermott Will & Emery's Telecom, Media & Technology Practice Group (TMT) in Germany is led by Dr. Ralf Weisser and includes partners Dr. Oliver Steffens and Dr. Wolfgang von Frentz. The TMT Group was presented with the award on 27 October 2005 from JUVE, the leading publisher in the German legal market.

JUVE commented that the Firm's TMT Group has firmly established itself in the market after only four years. JUVE added: "Team leader Dr. Ralf Weisser has managed to continually expand the department. In the previous year, the law firm was joined by Dr. Wolfgang Raitz von Frentz, who was referred to as 'one of the most promising young lawyers in this field' by senior competitors. In 2005, McDermott further improved its reputation by employing a tax team from KPMG. Two of the four new partners are Claudia Sendlbeck-Schickor and Oliver Kächele, who are well-known in the area of film financing."
