CMS Sends RDS Program Application Reminder
09/01/2006The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently sent a reminder to prescription drug plan sponsors that applications for the 2007 Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Program must be submitted no later than 90 days prior to the beginning of the plan year. For plan sponsors with calendar year plans, this deadline is quickly approaching. Plan sponsors can request a 30-day extension to submit the application as long as the request is submitted no later than 90 days prior to the beginning of the plan year. Applications and extensions can be submitted on the RDS website at http://rds.cms.hhs.gov/.
