Congress Approves Medicare Prescription Drug and Modernization Act of 2003

The U.S. Senate gave final congressional approval to a $400 billion plan to overhaul Medicare that will bring the most sweeping changes to the federal health insurance program since it was created nearly 40 years ago. Providers, physicians, payors, manufacturers, suppliers, employers and beneficiaries all will be profoundly affected by these changes.
