Our Italian intellectual property practice advises both Italian and international companies in the defence and protection of intellectual property rights. The team represents multinational clients in many industries, on a wide range of legal issues relating to intellectual property rights, before both the 12 specialised sections on intellectual property rights and such regulatory authorities as the Misleading and Comparison Advertising Division of the Italian Antitrust Authority, the Advertising Jury and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre for the Settlement of Disputes in the Field of Intellectual Property. The team is particularly specialised in filing interim measures such as restraining orders, seizure of goods, saisie description, disclosure of the infringer’s accounting books. Moreover, the team carries out trademark filings and prosecution before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office of Rome and the Community Trademark Office of Alicante (Spain), as well as internationally.
