REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Advice to clients on a variety of satellite issues, including spectrum allocation, licensing and regulatory compliance, associated with fixed and mobile satellite services, common carrier and private satellite networks, very small aperture terminal (VSAT) networks, and Direct Broadcast Satellite services

  • Counsel to large corporations on the transactional aspects of satellite telecommunications business ventures, including U.S. and international tax and antitrust issues

  • Provision of guidance on satellite regulatory developments that result from legislative action and FCC and World Radiocommunication Conference proceedings, such as counseling investors on the impact of FCC rulemaking proceedings on the financial integrity of a Mobile Satellite Service provider

  • Licensing a state-of-the-art earth station network for SCADA operations under the FCC's rules governing VSAT satellites, despite the FCC's prior refusal to license such a network
