Telecom Rulemaking Proceedings
We represent clients in all manner of FCC rulemaking proceedings. In frequent contact with the FCC, we can advise clients on the latest policies and guidelines as well as future agency direction. Once rulemaking proceedings commence, we draft comments and reply comments on behalf of clients, meet with the FCC Commissioners and staff, work with industry coalitions and otherwise influence the regulatory process on clients' behalf. We also represent clients that seek to take the lead in changing FCC rules and policies by petitioning the FCC to initiate new rulemaking proceedings.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

- The proceeding in which the FCC is examining ways to create more vibrant secondary markets for spectrum, so as to enable licensees to more easily trade, lease and assign spectrum rights
- The proceeding in which the FCC is determining whether to change its universal service contribution methodology in order to keep pace with changes in the telecommunications marketplace.
