McDermott Will & Emery's Appellate Practice Group consists of highly experienced lawyers in our U.S. and international offices who have successfully handled hundreds of appeals, both in the United States and abroad. Our group includes more than 20 lawyers who have successfully handled hundreds of appeals in every one of the 13 federal Courts of Appeals, in numerous state appellate courts and in the United States Supreme Court. The group includes former state and federal appellate court clerks, many of whom are active in, and provide strong leadership to, appellate bar associations and serve with appellate judges on appellate court committees. In addition to representing our own clients in their appeals, lawyers in our group have also been retained to file friend of court briefs in cases of national importance in the United States Supreme Court and various appellate courts.
