State Legislative Matters

Our attorneys and professionals have extensive experience representing clients before state legislatures, executive branches and regulatory agencies. This experience is complemented by our team approach which integrates our Government Strategies Practice Group with the Firm's other U.S. offices located in Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, California and Florida. We regularly advise clients on legislative developments and procedure, provides strategic advice, drafts legislation and testimonies before legislative committees, and meets with legislators and staff to advocate clients' positions on a wide range of issues pending in the states. We have successfully represented clients in a broad spectrum of matters relating to consumer protection, antitrust, tax, telecommunications, health, utilities, environment, advertising, promotional marketing, and interactive communications. We have frequently resolved issues for our clients on a single state basis as well as in connection with enforcement actions brought by multiple states acting in concert.
