Representative transactional projects with environmental components include:
- Representation of seller in divestiture of worldwide PET bottle and closure manufacturing businesses valued at $1.7 billion Euros, including over 50 manufacturing facilities located in more than 15 countries around the world
- Representation of buyer in $1.2 billion acquisition of a coal mining business, with approximately 11 active underground or strip mines located throughout the United States
- Representation of New England utility in sale of generating assets and establishment of new transmission company during industry deregulation
- Preparation of environmental opinions for construction of waste-to-energy facilities in several states
- Representation of lender in sale of U.S. national real estate division owning and operating residential communities in several states
- Representation of industrial client in negotiation of environmental issues and due diligence in sale of U.S. subsidiary with contaminated sites, including "mega-site", and development of largest environmental insurance policy issued to date covering cleanup of those sites
- Representation of developers in major waterfront projects and commercial projects that include highway, mass transit, or airport construction or reconstruction
