McDermott’s Andrea Kramer Testifies Before Congress
On December 6, 2011, McDermott partner Andrea S. Kramer appeared as an expert witness at a joint hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance and the House Committee on Ways & Means. Ms. Kramer addressed proposals for taxing derivative financial products as part of the hearing entitled, “Tax Reform and the Tax Treatment of Financial Products.” Ms. Kramer is head of McDermott’s Financial Products, Trading and Derivatives Group. Additionally, she is co‑chair of the Firm’s Energy Services Group.
