Corporate taxpayers and IRS agents may not always agree of the proper tax treatment of a particular item, but they do agree that resolving tax disputes as early as possible is desirable for all involved. The IRS offers many dispute resolution techniques that can be employed at different stages, including before the tax return is filed, during the audit, and at IRS Appeals.
