Translational medicine, which calls for development and access to better information as a means of practicing better medicine, is an essential ingredient in the rapid movement toward personalized medicine. Now is the time to develop a strategy for becoming an active participant in this arena. In the real-world context of recent leading-edge translational medicine initiatives, this program will explore essential organizational, operational and legal considerations involved in the development and implementation of a strategic plan, including the following topics:
