Overview
Han Cui focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including antitrust, consumer protection, trade secret, employment, breach of contract, bankruptcy and insurance matters. She has experience representing clients from a wide array of industries, including technology, finance, manufacturing, energy, health care, beverage, fashion and entertainment.
Han has advocated for clients on both sides of the “v” and in every phase of civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She has also counseled companies in government and internal investigations. She has advised in-house counsel and senior management on high-stakes litigation and investigation matters, and prepared senior management for depositions in litigation and investigational hearings by the FTC. She has secured multiple victories for clients during the crucial stage of dispositive motions and has also served as the second chair in conducting direct and cross-examinations of vital fact and expert witnesses during trials.
Han maintains a robust pro bono practice, including serving as lead trial counsel for a pre-trial detainee in a Section 1983 case, where she argued and defeated the government’s summary judgment motions, and won compensation for her client in a seven-day jury trial in federal court.
During law school, Han was an associate editor for the University of Illinois Law Review, president of the Asian American Law Students Association and a law school liaison for the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.
