Lisa Linsky called it “a pro bono dream” that McDermott has represented since 2012 the Mattachine Society in its archive activism documenting LGBT discrimination. Ms. Linsky is one of more than 16 attorneys at the Firm who do pro bono work for the society, including more than 100 FOIA requests to document government anti-gay animus. The pro bono relationship is so great because it’s a long-term project that involves a very engaged client and a team of attorneys dedicated to the work, Ms. Linsky said.
