July 21, 2017 – McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Heath Industry Advisory partner, Sarah Kitchell, has been selected to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s 2017 “Top Women of Law” list. Ms. Kitchell was chosen as one of 50 women attorneys to receive the prestigious honor.
The “Top Women of Law” awards recognize and honor outstanding achievements made by exceptional female lawyers. Each year, the publication honors “women who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field,” including: pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business. The awards highlight women who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models.
Ms. Kitchell was recognized for her transactional and regulatory work on matters affecting a wide range of clients in the health care industry. She focuses her transactional practice on strategic affiliations, mergers and acquisitions, physician-hospital alignments, and private equity investments. She also represents research sites, sponsors and contract research organizations with all aspects of clinical research contracting and formation of research networks.
Additionally, Ms. Kitchell serves as a member of the Firm’s Associate Recruiting Committee and Pro Bono and Community Service Committee. She concentrates her pro bono efforts on representation of small nonprofit arts organizations and matters for the Medical-Legal Partnership of Boston.
Ms. Kitchell and the other award recipients will be honored for their outstanding accomplishments at the “Top Women of Law” awards ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, November 2, at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel.
