McDermott’s DC Office Recognized as Pro Bono Leader by Chief Judges of the District of Columbia Federal Courts

May 10, 2017 – McDermott Will & Emery’s Washington DC Office was recognized as a “Pro Bono Leader” by the Chief Judges of the District of Columbia Federal Courts at the “40 at 50 Judicial Pro Bono Recognition Breakfast.”

McDermott was one of 33 law firms that were honored for having at least 40% of lawyers dedicate 50 or more hours to pro bono work in 2016. Representatives from each firm joined Chief Judge Merrick Garland, Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell and other District of Columbia federal judges for the fourteenth annual “40 at 50 Judicial Pro Bono Recognition Breakfast.” This marks at least the ninth consecutive year that McDermott has received this prestigious honor.

McDermott’s DC leadership is dedicated to supporting and encouraging pro bono and community service participation throughout the office. The DC office proudly supports the Firm’s commitment to pro bono work and is honored to be acknowledged as a leader in this effort beside so many other respected firms.
