Diann Smith criticized the lack of information on expedited audits in Delaware’s proposed revamped unclaimed property laws. “The legislation seemed to leave it completely up to the auditor to decide, if a company was not compliant within a very short period of time, then you get kicked out of the expedited audit,” Ms. Smith said. “It would be useful for [Delaware] to fill out the procedures on the expedited audit.”
