Jeff Miller, the former Republican chair of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, is joining McDermott as a senior legislative adviser in the Government Strategies group. Aside from health care issues focused on veterans, Mr. Miller said he’ll also be working in other areas he emphasized while on Capitol Hill, including defense and agriculture.
