Ian Schwartz, previously at another major law firm, joined McDermott in the New York office, where he will continue his work in the private equity sector while also taking on key strategy, recruiting and knowledge management responsibilities as head of the firm’s investment funds practice. “McDermott has such a great middle-market private equity platform,” Mr. Schwartz said about the “phenomenal opportunity” to join the firm.
