Stephen Ryan, a Board of Trustees member for the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC, appeared in this video as moderator of a panel discussion on the rules of war used in Shakespeare’s plays and what modern lessons this holds on war and conflict. Panelists considered a number of Shakespeare’s works, most notably the tragedy Macbeth, and parallels that could be drawn to conflicts in Syria, Libya, and elsewhere around the world.
