MILAN (March 22, 2017) – McDermott’s Italian Tax practice has been awarded “Law Firm of the Year for Patent Box” at the Italian LegalCommunity Tax Awards 2017 ceremony, held on 20 March in Milan.
The team was distinguished for their “high professional caliber and knowledge of the subject”, and it has been acknowledged that “Timeliness and availability are certainly among their strengths.”
The LegalCommunity Tax Awards, now in their fourth year, recognize the excellence of the legal market in Tax sector in Italy.
Partner and head of the Italian practice and the Tax team Carlo Maria Paolella accepted the award on behalf of the team which includes partners Mario Martinelli and Andrea Tempestini, counsel Simone Serretti, associates Federico Bortolameazzi, Giuseppe Mazzarella and Alessio Persiani as well as trainees Luca Angelini and Francesco Spinello.
This is the fourth consecutive year the Italian Tax practice has been recognized by the LegalCommunity with a ‘Law Firm of the Year’ award. This year’s accolade is a further testament to the Italian team’s achievements and adds to the growing collection of awards received by the team previously, including ‘Law Firm of the Year for Tax Restructuring in Italy’ in 2015 and ‘Law Firm of the Year for Transfer Pricing in Italy’ in 2014 and 2016.
The team was also selected, this year as finalists for Tax Law Firm of the Year and nominated in numerous other Firm and individual categories, including:
