Mark E. Schreiber Named a 2016 Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer

(November 10, 2016) – Global privacy and cybersecurity partner, Mark E. Schreiber, has been selected as a 2016 “Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal. The annual “Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer” supplement profiles 50 of the most esteemed lawyers who have achieved remarkable successes on behalf of their clients.

Each of these lawyers has demonstrated tremendous achievements in the fight against criminal cyberactivity and the bolstering of data security in an increasingly digitized world of commerce.

Mr. Schreiber, in particular, was recognized for his vision of law firm cooperation in various countries in the data protection field. He was also recognized for his role in founding the World Law Group’s* Privacy and Data Protection Group, a unique, international collaboration of firms that review global privacy standards and data breach requirements and help determine how multinational companies can implement them effectively.

Mr. Schreiber joined McDermott in September and is a co-leader of the Firm’s Global Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. He focuses his practice on cybersecurity, data breach response and global privacy coordination, and advises entities facing cross-border data protection, Privacy Shield and related issues, strategic decisions, and investigations.
