Vernessa Pollard and Veleka Peeples-Dyer were named co-leaders of McDermott’s FDA practice and will work together to expand the Firm’s services for medical device, pharmaceutical and technology companies needing guidance in dealing with the FDA. Each lawyer joined McDermott in the past year from, respectively, major law firm and corporate positions, and Ms. Pollard said she was drawn to the opportunity of building out the practice group at a time when health care is advancing rapidly and regulators are trying to keep up.
