Andrew Vergunst, new London office managing partner, emphasized the role of corporate work in the office’s growth. “To be a big international firm you need to have a big private client presence in London and this has been a huge success for us,” said Mr. Vergunst. “But the corporate practice has also grown and we’re now looking at the next stage in terms of M&A transactions.” In private client work Mr. Vergunst added, “There are lots of good private client practices in London, but what distinguishes us is the international nature of it.”
