Vernessa Pollard, formerly an FDA enforcement lawyer and partner with another major law firm, joined McDermott to be co-head of the Firm’s Washington-based FDA practice. “The opportunity to combine what I consider to be a traditional but also nontraditional life sciences practice with McDermott’s deep-bench health care expertise and also its global platform is really exciting to me,” Ms. Pollard said of her move. Health practice leader Stephen Bernstein called Ms. Pollard “a gifted leader” and Firm co-chair Peter Sacripanti noted her as “a trusted adviser.”
