The Dispute Between Russia and Yukos Shareholders: Swedish Court Has Weight?

Sabine Konrad emphasized that a Stockholm Arbitration Court award to four Spanish funds which sued over depositary receipts for shares of the Yukos oil company was relatively small and the Swedish Court decision applies only to this lawsuit. Thus, she continued, it does not apply to other proceedings for Yukos shareholders and has no influence on their disputes.
