Andrea Kramer is among 10 “purposeful women” who on March 25 in Chicago will receive the 2015 POW! Award from Womenetics, an organization formed to accelerate business by advancing women leaders. Ms. Kramer (cited for her success as a member of McDermott’s Financial Products, Trading and Derivatives Group and her commitment to gender diversity) recalled her appearance before a potentially hostile joint congressional hearing. “The only way I could appear confident was if I was,” she explained. “I walked into the hearing room, shook hands with the chairmen, smiled broadly and knocked everyone’s socks off.”
