James Moran, now a senior legislative adviser with McDermott, said of his former position as a Congressman, “I don’t miss it at all.” Mr. Moran will focus on such issues as energy (which he championed as chairman of the House Interior and Environment Appropriations Subcommittee) and defense, noting that he joined McDermott because “I really wanted an environment where I could learn more things, and this firm just gets into so many things that are of interest to me.”
