Mark Pearlstein, after a jury had previously found Dzhokhar Tsarnaev guilty of the Boston Marathon bombing, noted that “in a case where the defense conceded that Tsarnaev committed these crimes, the [guilty] verdict is certainly no surprise.” Mr. Pearlstein added that “the real battle” would be “the fight about punishment” for the crime.
