Joanne Ludovici said the June 1 introduction of the “.sucks” domain name for consumer complaints against businesses is “making companies very uneasy.” She predicted that some companies will pre-emptively purchase such domains related to them, but pointed out that the name can be a moving target because even if a company buys the “brandname.sucks” domain to prevent a purchase, anyone could buy “brandnameREALLY.sucks” to lodge a complaint.
