CHICAGO (July 7, 2015) – For the second straight year, American Lawyer ranked the Am Law 200 – the nation’s 200 highest-grossing firms—by their pro bono score for work performed by U.S.-based and International lawyers.
On this year’s list, McDermott ranked 4th of 55 international law firms in the Am Law 200’s international pro bono rankings, 27th out of 155 in the U.S. pro bono rankings, 24th out of 156 for breadth of pro bono commitment, and 32nd out of 156 firms for average pro bono hours performed by U.S.-based lawyers.
The international law firm rankings were based on the average number of pro bono hours completed by international lawyers, the U.S. rankings were based on an assessment of the average pro bono hours per U.S. lawyer, and the breadth of commitment rankings were based on the percentage of U.S.-based lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in 2014.
