Charles Weir, leading a McDermott team that seeks to prevent release of undercover video taken by anti-abortion activists who met with the CEO and other executives of a company that used fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood for research, argued that California’s privacy law allows his client to control her confidential communications. “What they can’t do is steal from my client the right to control the first-hand dissemination of her speech.
